Cookie Policy
Every cookie this site can set, named, with what it does and how long it lasts.
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. This one uses very few, and only two of them are set before you have said yes.
1. What runs before you choose
These are strictly necessary: without them the site cannot remember your decision or keep the consent record the law requires. They carry no advertising identifier, and both are set by this site itself, not by anyone else.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| lr-consent | This site | Holds your answer to the banner, accepted or declined, so you are not asked again. It contains nothing else: no identifier, no profile | 12 months |
| Session cookie | This site | Keeps the page working while you move around it | Until you close the browser |
2. What runs only if you accept
Analytics tell us which pages are read and which are skipped. They do not tell us who you are. If you decline, none of the following are set and nothing on the site stops working.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one returning browser from another, without naming it | 13 months |
| _ga_<id> | Google Analytics | Holds the state of the current visit | 13 months |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Separates visits within a single day | 24 hours |
Google Tag Manager loads these, and Tag Manager itself is not in the page until you accept. Decline and it is never downloaded, which means nothing it would have loaded can run either. Tag Manager sets no cookie of its own.
3. Measurement and advertising
Two further services run through the same mechanism. Both are listed here because they are what the site actually loads, and you can verify each one in your browser’s network panel.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta (Facebook) Pixel | Identifies a browser to Meta so that an enquiry can be attributed to an advertisement, and so that advertising can be shown to you elsewhere | 90 days |
| None | Vercel Analytics | Counts page views without cookies and without an identifier that follows you between sites | Sets no cookie |
4. What this site does not do
- No fingerprinting, no session recording, no heatmaps.
- No cookies are sold or shared with data brokers.
- Nothing you type into an enquiry form is passed to an advertising network. The Meta Pixel above records that an enquiry happened, not what it said.
5. Changing your mind
Use the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page to bring the banner back and change your answer. You can also delete cookies in your browser directly: in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge this is under Settings → Privacy. Deleting them means you will be asked again on your next visit.
Blocking all cookies in your browser will not break this site. The consent banner will simply reappear each time, because the record of your choice is itself a cookie.

What we do with the data behind these cookies, who else sees it and how to have it deleted is in the Privacy Policy.
